CERAMICS

Part of our wood-fired collection was created in the Sasukenei kiln in Weimar in March 2026, where each piece was fired with wood for more than 24 hours. The other part was fired in our own wood-fired kiln in July 2026, during its very first firing—a twelve-hour process that became an experiment of its own.

The two firings produced distinctly different results, showing just how much the character of a wood firing depends on more than the material alone. The construction and atmosphere of the kiln, the position of each piece, the flames, heat, and ash all influence how the surfaces develop.

From matte to glossy finishes, from soft earthy tones to vibrant flashes of colour, each firing reveals its own range of textures and marks. Nothing can be fully predicted, and no two pieces emerge exactly alike.

This collection brings together the distinct results of both firings—each shaped by its kiln, its firing, and the elements that came together along the way.
